Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra

Our second concert of the year envelops us in the sounds of Paris. We open with a short, brilliant waltz by Cécile Chaminade, the first female composer to win the Légion d'Honneur, France's highest honor. We follow this with two of Ravel's most famous works of the late impressionist era. After an intermission, we'll explore Haydn's Symphony no. 82 in C Major, titled "The Bear." Not often played in modern times, it is a delightful symphony that the Parisians commissioned and popularized.
